I got chickens! The best way to get eggs... cruelty-free, hormone-free, antibiotic-free and evil-free. Also a great way to waste time as I can pretty much stare at them for very long periods of time and be totally entertained. Although these gals need a few months before they lay any breakfast, here they are. Presenting Petunia (tuna) and Pearl.
Petunia getting nosy (beaky?) regarding the camera
Pearl being calm and lady-like as always, showing off her new wing feathers.
and heeeere's 'Tuna looking ambivalent and wanting to get back to the food dish

Kristin, your chicks are so tiny and cute! I don't think that I would be able to handle those two! How do your cats get along with them?
ReplyDeleteI have gotten eggs from a family at church that has a bunch of hens...they are pretty yummy.
Wait a minute here, I thought you didn't like eggs???
